- 2 Miniature Light Bulbs (1.35 volts)
- 1 Miniature Base
- 3 Zinc Electrodes
- 3 Copper Electrodes
- 2 Pair of Short Lead Wires- Black/ Red (Alligator Clips)
- 1 Pair of Long Lead Wires - Black/ Red (Alligator Clips)
- Red and Black Wires that came with the Multi-tester
- Mounting Board 5x7
- 1 LED Light
- 2 Screws
- 3 Red Potatoes
- 3 Russet Potatoes
- 3 Sweet Potatoes
- 1 Multi-tester
- 1 Miniature Base

- Red and Black Wires that came with the Multi-tester

- 1 LED Light
- 2 Screws
- 3 Red Potatoes

- 1 Multi-tester
Procedure
- Make sure the multi-tester is turned off.
- Plug in the red wire that came with the multi-tester into the Pt terminal of the multi-tester.
- Plug in the black wire that came with the multi-meter into the -com terminal of the multi-tester.
- Insert the zinc and copper electrode plates at least 5 cinmeters away from each other in the potato.( Don't allow the electrode plates to go through the bottom skin of the potato.)
- Turn the dial on the multi-tester to the DCV section on the 10 marking.
- Touch the other end of the red wire to the copper electrode.
- Touch the other end of the black wire to the zinc electrode.
- Record the voltage from the multimeter.
- Repeat steps 1-8
- Reconnect the red alligator clip to the zinc electrode.
- Reconnect the black alligator clip to the copper electrode
- Mount the bulb base onto the board.
- Screw in the 1.35 volt lightbulb into the bulb base.
- Connect the other red alligator clip to one screw that is connected to the lightbulb.
- Connect the other black alligator clip to the other screw connected to the light bulb.
- Record results.
- Repeat steps 10-16 for each type of potato.
- Disconnect the alligator clips from the light bulb.
- Connect the red alligator clip to one side of the LED light.
- Connect the black alligator clip to the other side of the LED light.
- Record results.
- Repeat steps 18-21 for each type of potato.
- Repeat all steps 2 more times.
